RELOCATE HOSPITAL POLICE

Provide professional environmental services required for the preparation of all environmental documents and related support documentation in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for Relocating the Hospital Police for the Department of State Hospitals, Metropolitan State Hospital located at 11401 Bloomfield Avenue, Norwalk, CA 90650. The project includes building a new approximately 17,000 square foot ”Essential Services Building” to relocate the Hospital Police and the Office of special Investigation within the Metropolitan State Hospital Campus. To accomplish this, the project will demolition of several existing buildings (at least two are potentially historic structures or within a historic district) to provide room for the improvements and safety; make site improvements consisting of site clearing and grading, paving for roads and parking, retaining walls (as required), water distribution systems, waste water collection and disposal systems, storm drainage systems, erosion control measures, and electrical and communications systems. Additionally offsite improvements will be required along Bloomfield Avenue to move the main entrance by constructing a new signalized intersection at Bloomfield and 6th street, sidewalks, landscaping and irrigation, monument sign and police kiosk.
