PROFESSIONAL MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

The 2026 Professional Mentorship Program Has Officially Kicked Off!

AEP is excited to announce that the second edition of the Professional Mentorship Program is now underway!

This year, environmental professionals from across California have been matched into peer mentoring groups and have begun participating in a nine-session mentorship curriculum designed to foster professional growth, leadership development, knowledge sharing, and meaningful connections within the environmental profession.

The AEP Mentorship Program brings together professionals at all career stages—from emerging practitioners to seasoned experts—to learn from one another, exchange perspectives, and strengthen our professional community. Participants have begun meeting virtually and in person, engaging in discussions on topics including career development, leadership, communication, mentoring, workplace culture, emerging trends, and the future of the environmental profession.

The Mentorship Committee would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who applied and volunteered their time and expertise to make this year's program possible. We look forward to following the growth, collaboration, and connections that emerge throughout the 2026 program cycle.

We know that business is better with diverse teams—and AEP strongly believes mentoring is too.

Interested in Future Mentorship Opportunities?

If you were unable to participate in this year's Professional Mentorship Program, we encourage you to stay connected and look for future opportunities to join upcoming mentorship cycles.

Members may also continue to participate in AEP's At-Will Mentorship Program by utilizing the Membership Directory to connect with fellow members interested in serving as mentors and mentees.
